Every December, Ponders Funeral Home hosts our annual Christmas Memorial Service. We extend an invitation to attend this service to all family and friends who have lost a loved one over the previous year. Our Christmas Memorial Service provides family and friends an opportunity to gather together for fellowship and remembrance of their loved one during the oftentimes difficult holiday season.

Along with our annual Christmas Memorial Service, Ponders Funeral Home also hosts Candlelight Vigils every December. These Candlelight Vigils take place at our three memorial parks – Whitfield Memorial Gardens, Colonial Hills Cemetery and Murray Memorial Gardens. Over the years, many family and friends have found this to be a comforting way to honor and remember their loved ones who have passed on.

Our family at Ponders Funeral Home appreciates the daily dedication of firefighters and law enforcement to our community, its freedom, safety and way of life. As a symbol of our gratitude and respect, we extend the right to free funeral services to any firefighters and law-enforcement officials should death occur in the line-of-duty. We also have a memorial display to honor those veterans who have given their life for our country. If someone in your family has died in the line of duty, we invite you to bring a picture of your loved one to be included in our display.
