Mr. Horace David Dyer age 79, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at his residence. He was born September 14, 1942 in Dalton, GA a son of the late Cleave and Virgia Huggins Dyer. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Stacey Taylor, brothers, Donald Dyer, Otis Dyer, Wesley Dyer, Arthur Huggins, sisters, Pearley Teasley, Barbara Dyer, Sandra Huggins. He was a founding member of Heritage Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jackie Walker Dyer of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, David Scott and Donna Dyer of Calhoun, GA; brother, Leroy Huggins of Dalton, GA; sister, Gwen Flood of Dalton, GA; sister-in-law, Betty Dyer of Dalton, GA; grandson, Dawson Taylor and Melony Charles of Carrolton, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Horace David Dyer will be held Saturday December 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Heritage Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
