Zackary Lake Mantooth, age 27, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

Lake was a man who wore many hats—whether it was trying to fix something around the house, cracking jokes to lighten the mood, or stepping in to help someone in need. His laughter could turn the coldest day warm, and his heart was big enough to carry the burdens of others. He enjoyed fishing

Lake loved deeply, especially his family, and most of all his daughter, Adaleigh.

Born October 30, 1997, in Dalton, Georgia, Lake was preceded in death by his daddy, Richard Brewer; grandparents, Josie Mantooth, Danny Brewer, John Brooks, Charlie and Glenda Mantooth.

He is survived by his daughter, Adaleigh Mantooth, and her mother, Martha Mantooth, both of Calhoun, GA; mother, Kristy and Chuck Roberts of Calhoun, GA; father, Rickey Lee Mantooth and Farrah Mantooth of Chatsworth, GA; sisters, Brynleigh Brewer, Josie and Bobby Slone of Calhoun, GA; brothers, Jeremy and Arianna McGaha, and Ashton Brewer, all of Calhoun, GA; grandparents, Ruby Jones of Calhoun, GA, Earnest and Verna Jones of Rocky Face, GA, and Brenda Brooks of Rocky Face, GA; nieces and nephews, Wrenleigh McGaha, Brody Slone, Aubree Slone and Brylie Slone; nephew on the way, Canaan; aunts and uncles, Nevaeh Jones, Jason Jones, Danny Messer and Twana Amos; several cousins and many friends.

A service to celebrate Lake's life will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at White Graves Baptist Church (365 White Graves Rd., Ranger, GA, 30734) with Pastor Will Allen, Brother Adam Thomas, and Brother Eric Brown officiating. He will be laid to rest in the church cemetery with Joshua Massingill, Jeremiah Heppner, Cameron Thomas, Tyler McClure, J'Dun Hill, and Danny Messer honored to serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Carter Thomas, Ashton Brewer, and Jeremy McGaha.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and again at the church after 12:00 p.m. on Thursday until the service hour.
