Ms. Yvonne Diane Kernea, age 55, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday evening, May 15, 2013 at her home. Diane was born June 15, 1957 in Dalton, GA. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Spence, brothers, Danny and Tony Spence, grandparents, Bob and Effie Young Spence, Marion and Estelle Williams Hayes.

She is survived by her father, Jack Spence; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and James Davis; son, Adam Catlett; grandson, Jay Davis all of Dalton, GA; nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Yvonne Diane Kernea will be held Saturday May 18, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Scott Winters and Reverend Ricky Spence officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Kilgore Cemetery in Murray County, with James Davis, John Hayne, Dennis Hayes, Joe Hayes, Marshall Hayes and Daniel Hayes serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday.
