Mrs. Wylene Seay age 89, of California, and formerly of Dalton, GA departed this life, Wednesday May 24, 2017. Wylene was born November 22, 1927 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Willie Lee "Jim" and Della Brown Hayes. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Steed Hayes, sisters, Ruby Sisson, Grace West, Juanita Banks, Imogene Ridley. She was a member of McFarland Hill Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Michael Seay of California; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Shirley Hayes of Dalton, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and D.L. Flood of Dalton, GA, sisters-in-law, Brownie Mitchell, Virgie Mullinax of Dalton, GA; brothers-in-law, John Banks of Statham, GA, Sammy Seay of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Jennie Luna, Cory Seay of California; great grandchildren, Alec Luna and Taylor Luna; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Wylene Seay will be held Wednesday June 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Dr. Randy Postell officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery with Rodney Hayes, Tony Hayes, Jacob Hayes, Chris Banks, Roger Flood and Murphy Flood serving as pallbearers. Tim and Eric Hayes will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and after 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
