Mr. Winston Duane Palmer, age 84 of Ringgold, GA, departed this life Sunday September 10, 2017 at his residence. Winston was born January 23, 1933 Dalton, GA, a son of the late Floyd and Della Starcher Palmer. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Palmer; brothers, Lamar Palmer, Edwin Palmer, Jack Palmer, Gerald Palmer. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Palmer of the residence; his daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Homer Waxler of Florence, SC, step children, Mike Brewer of Ringgold, GA, Connie and Ronnie Harris of Rocky Face, GA, Teresa and Eddie Tish of Dalton, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charlie and Colleen Palmer of Dunkirk, MD, Perry and Gwennell Palmer of Crandall, GA, Roger and Pat Palmer of Ringgold, GA, Michael and Sue Palmer, Sam and Phyllis Palmer of Chatsworth, GA; grandson, Mathew Palmer, step grandchildren, Selena and Chris Cline, Eric Harris, Jason and Amy Harris; step great grandchildren, Maddie Cline, Austin Cline, Justin Harris, Sydney Harris, Jackson Harris, Lindsey Harris; several nieces and nephews. Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Winston Duane Palmer will be Thursday September 14, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Arthur Corbin and Reverend Mike Palmer officiating. Interment will follow in the United Memorial Gardens with Matthew Palmer, Eric Harris, Jason Harris, Chris Cline, Austin Cline and Mike Brewer serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
