Mrs. Wilma "Sue" Griffin, 84, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, December 8, 2019 at her residence. She was born January 1, 1935 in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late Dillon Ethyl and Wyetta Abyah Gazaway Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Dan Griffin, sister, Omega Wood, grandson, Tyler Zilbert.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Billy "Danny" Griffin and Melissa Johnston of Chatsworth, GA, Ricky Lane Griffin of Dalton, GA, Dillon Frank and Christy Griffin of Franklin, NC; daughters and sons-in-law, Paulette and Mike Zilbert, Mona Ridley of Dalton, GA, Mitzi and Rick Hughes of Chatsworth, GA; brother-in-law, Bill Wood of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Michael and Karen Smith, Landon and Tera Zilbert, Autumn and Noureddine Boussafeur, Caleb and Melinda Zilbert, Brian Griffin and BriAnne Woods, Brittany Griffin, Tommy and Colby Robinette; great grandchildren, Spencer Smith, Michael Zilbert, Samuel Zilbert, Aiden Smith, Paisley Zilbert, Jeslyn Zilbert, Rylan Robinette, Micaiah Smith, Skylar Griffin, Ava Zilbert, Aubree Loudermilk, Fysher Loudermilk, Rhett Robinette; nephew, Brandon Wood; great niece, Amber Holly Wood.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Wilma "Sue" Griffin will be held Saturday December 14, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Michael Smith and Landon Zilbert officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Swamp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with her grandchildren serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
