Mr. William Jackson Pierce Jr. age 73, of Ringgold, GA, departed this life November 1, 2017 at the local hospital. He was born July 16, 1944 in Tunnel Hill, GA, a son of the late William Jackson Pierce Sr. and Bertha Williams Pierce. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Herman Martin, sisters, Jeane Thomas, Ruth Pierce, brother-in-law, Buddy Stapp.

He is survived by his sisters and brother-in-law, Kathleen Stapp of Ringgold, GA, Nancy and Don Pennell of Missouri; children, James Gray Jr. of Lafayette, GA, William Gray of Athens, GA, Renae Donaldson of Winchester, TN; niece, Carol Bowling of Ringgold, GA, several nieces and nephews.

At his request he will be cremated and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
