"Pete" Faulknor
April 26, 1929 – February 13, 2024
Mr. William Henry "Pete" Faulknor, age 94, of Dalton, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. He was born April 26, 1929 in Bassetts, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife loving wife of 61 years, Naomi Bond Faulknor, his parents, James Wesley "Jim" and Linda Roach Faulknor, wife's parents, Delbert and Ruth Bond, son-in-law, Reverend Mark Ridley, brothers-in-law, David Bond, Floyd Carrell Jr.
He was a member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly for 79 years. His work career included being a Master Technician with the Crysler Corporation. He was an auto technician from the age of 12 and a lifelong farmer. He and his wife Naomi, drove the church bus for 12 years and he also during that time ran the church heat boiler system. Pete was a member of the Tilton Masonic Lodge 291 where he served as Worshipful Master and several terms as chaplain.
He is survived by his daughters, Gloria Faulknor, Angela Faulknor, Badella Faulknor Ridley all of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Erica Ridley Harden, Triska Ridley, Aaron Ridley; great grandchildren, Caleb Harden, Vayda; sisters-in-law, Mary Bond, Wilma Carrell, Deborah and Harold Prater; brothers-in-law, Vernon and Sharon Bond, Stanley "Gene" Bond; lifelong friend, Reverend Herman Epperson; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Service to celebrate the life of William Henry "Pete" Faulknor will be held Sunday February 18, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Church of God of the Union Assembly with Reverend Houston Eaton, Reverend Dale Brewer, Reverend Stoney Kiser and Jay Smithson officiating. He will lie in state at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at the West Hill Cemetery with Steve Hall, Stevie Brafford, Jerome Akins, Paul Carrell, Doy Epperson, and Jay Smithson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
