Mr. William "Kenneth" Howard Sr., age 77 of Dalton, GA, departed this life Monday September 4, 2017 at the local hospital. Kenneth was born December 2, 1939 in Murray County, a son of the late Stephen Henry and Bertie Ray Howard. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Leonard Howard. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marie Howard of the residence; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny and Pam Howard, Jamie and Kim Howard; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Nichols and Bill Swafford all of Dalton, GA; brother and sister-in-law, James Lloyd and Norelda Howard of Lafayette, GA; grandchildren, Darren and Whitney Howard of Chatsworth, GA, Derek and Lauren Howard, Dustin and Leandra Nichols, Preston Howard, Jasper Howard all of Dalton, GA; great grandchildren, Alex, Lexie, Hunter, Parker, Tanner, Addison, Kailey.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. William "Kenneth" Howard Sr. will be Saturday September 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Tilton Baptist Church with Pastor James Watts officiating. He will lie in state at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Darren Howard, Derek Howard, Dustin Nichols, Preston Howard, Alex Howard, and Bill Swafford serving as pallbearers. Jack McCutchen and Terry Black will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
