Mr. William Lester Holloway, Jr., age 52, of Des Moines, Iowa, and formerly of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born on September 6, 1973, in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia.

William was preceded in death by his beloved nephew, Little Dustin Shane Holloway, on January 22, 2013, as well as his grandparents, William and Martha Mann, and Clifton and Rosie Holloway.

A proud and hardworking member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, William dedicated his entire adult life to his trade. He took great pride in his work and was known for his skill, perseverance, and willingness to lend a hand to others. William's strong work ethic was matched only by his deep love for his family. He reached out to his loved ones faithfully, often multiple times a week, always making sure they felt valued and connected.

William had a warm, friendly spirit that drew people to him. His ever-present smile and natural gift for conversation allowed him to connect with anyone, even complete strangers. He was generous and humble, always willing to make amends if he ever caused harm. He believed in giving people a chance and lived by the principle of treating others with kindness and respect.

Above all else, William loved his family fiercely. His devotion to his children, grandchildren, and extended family was evident in every aspect of his life, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving mother, Patrica Mann of Dalton, GA; father, William Holloway Sr. of Resaca, GA; sons, Jamey Holloway of Des Moines, IA, and Titus Reece of Adairsville, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Destiny and Derek Postell of Tunnel Hill, GA, and Charity and Wade Rymer of Chatsworth, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Shane Holloway of Resaca, GA, and Clifton and April Holloway of Greenback, TN; girlfriend, Ngun Sung of Marshaltown, IA; grandchildren, Jaiden Holloway, Kayden Holloway, and Jade Rymer; and several nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. William Lester Holloway, Jr. will be held Friday, September 26, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel. He will be laid to rest beside his nephew at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Titus Reece, Clifton Holloway, Shane Holloway, Shane Mann, Heath Mann, and Carl Adcock.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour at 3:00 p.m.
