Mr. William Freeman Holloway, age 78, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday morning, June 14, 2020 at the local hospital. Freeman was born September 10, 1941 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Freeman H. "Bill" and Leva Ann Moore Holloway. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Leon Holloway, a sister, Barbara Sanford Johnston and his step-mother, Eva Holloway.
Freeman loved music, fishing, old western movies and Elvis. He played the guitar and enjoyed singing Elvis songs. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy Reserves and Airforce. He worked many years at Marketing Alliance.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Elizabeth Duckworth Holloway of the residence; sons, Shane Holloway, Wayne Holloway, Jason Holloway and his fiancé, Ashley Manley all of Dalton, GA; grandsons, Tanner and Brooke Holloway, Carl Holloway, Jacob Holloway; great-granddaughter, River Holloway; aunt, Virginia Wyrick of Seattle, WA; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mr. William Freeman Holloway will be held Saturday morning, June 20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at United Memorial Gardens with his brother-in-law, Reverend Larry Morgan officiating. His nephews and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday until the service hour.
