Mr. William (Glen) Grant, Jr., age 57, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday evening, February 23, 2021 at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, surrounded by his loving family.

Glen was born December 19, 1963 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late William and Betty Evans Grant, Sr. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Grant, a sister, Sally Warren and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Chris and Marjorie McElrath.

Glen was a 1982 graduate of Southeast High School.  He worked for over thirty-two years at Shaw Industries.

Glen was a devoted husband and Daddy, his family always came first. He was a foster Daddy to over thirty-five children in the sixteen years he and Angela fostered and he rocked many babies in the crook of his arm while sitting in his favorite recliner. He enjoyed camping, cruising and spending time with his family and friends. Glen loved anything to do with cars.  He was a Ford man, loved attending Rod Runs and Car Shows.

He is survived by the love of his life, Angela McElrath Grant, and would have celebrated their twenty-ninth wedding anniversary, April 16, 2021; daughters, Whitney Grant, Lindsey Grant and Hope Grant; sons, Collin Raymond, William Grant, III and Justin Grant all of Dalton, GA; brother, Jeff Grant of Chatsworth, GA; sisters, Seidonia Griggs, Glenna Ashton and Dixie Hall all of Dalton, GA; special friends who were like family, Michael and Courtney Garner and their children, Gabbie and Ellie, who called Angela and Glen, "Lolli and Pop" ; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. William Glen Grant, Jr., will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 4:00 o'clock p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Chris Thomas, Ronnie Cochran, Tommy Grant, Don Grant, Christian East, Jesse Warren, Leon Avery and Steven Raymond honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 4:00 o'clock p.m. until 9:00 o'clock p.m. Friday and after 1:00 o'clock p.m. Saturday until the service hour.
