Mr. William "Donnie" Edward Floyd Jr, age 62, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday January 28, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Hospital. Donnie was born March 22, 1957 in Macon, Georgia, the son of the late William "Bill" Edward Floyd Sr. and Sarah Frances Cooper Floyd. Donnie was also preceded in death by his sister Anita Floyd; brother-in-law, Glenn D. Hall Jr. Donnie loved to fish, hunt and train his horses.

Donnie is survived by his son, Michael Labron (Tamara) Floyd of Dalton, Georgia, daughter, DaNae (Dewayne) Holmes of Dalton, Georgia; brother, Larry M.(DeAun) Floyd of Cohutta, Georgia; sisters, Linda (William) Dawkins of Ellijay, Georgia, Donna Hall and Elaine Bates both of Dalton, Georgia; grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, Aaliyah, Jazzmine, Connor, Curtis, and Collin; great-grandchildren, Cambree and Braxton; several nieces and nephews.

The service to celebrate the life of Donnie will be held Saturday February 1, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Ronald Guffey officiating.  Burial will follow the service at United Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends, Friday January 31, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel.
