Mr. William Monroe Carter, age 65, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, March 30, 2014 at his residence. William was born March 17, 1949 in Copperhill, TN, a son of the late Johnny and Nora Cross Carter. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Flora Mae Carter, brothers, James and Charles Carter.

He is survived by his daughters, Amy Carter of Florida, Angela Carter Wyatt of Ringgold, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Delmus and Sandra Carter, Jack Carter of Dalton, GA, Zandra Carter of Cleveland, TN; sisters and brothers-in-law, Norma Jean Carter and Elbert Watts, Annie Fortner of Dalton, GA, Sue and James Cook of Blairsville, GA; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

At William's request he will be cremated at the Dalton Crematory and a private family service will be held at a later date.
