Mr. Willard Jess Bryan, age 86, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday afternoon, August 22, 2014 at Regency Park. Willard was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Patton Bryan, son, Wayne Bryan and daughter, Barbara Ann Chapman.

He is survived by a son, Ronnie Bryan; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Randy Bates, Debbie and Waylon Stone; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Willard Jess Bryan will be held Sunday, August 24, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ronald Guffey and Reverend Robert Beavers officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Resaca, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and after 12:00 p.m. noon Sunday until the service hour.
