Mr. Wilford Bearden, age 79, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Thursday, August 18, 2022 at his residence. He was born September 11, 1942 in Trenton, GA, a son of the late Delies Edgar and Hazel Wooten Bearden. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Linda Gail Bearden, brothers, William, Ed, Harvey, Richard and Lloyd Bearden, sisters, Wilma Cason, Julie Neal. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Timmy and Shelly Bearden of Dalton, GA, Tony Randall Wiley of Chatsworth, GA; granddaughter, Lindsey Adams; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lamar and Faye Bearden of Chatsworth, GA, Chester and Janet Bearden of Dalton, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Wilford Bearden will be held Saturday August 20, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Dr. Danny Cochran, Reverend Kenneth Bethune and Reverend Willie Ollis officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery with Adam Bearden, Richard Bearden, Jimmy Shelton, David Hixson, Charlie Portwood, Zach Jackson and Stanley Pangle serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
