Mr. Wilburn Monroe Wilkins, age 81, of Dalton Georgia.  Departed this life Monday Morning November 8, 2021 at the local Hospital. He was born March 21, 1940 in Cartersville, GA, a son of the late James Avery and Annie Huggins Wilkins. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Pete Wilkins, Robert Wilkins, Gene Wilkins, C.L. Wilkins, Willie Wilkins, sisters, Clara Clark, Elizabeth Slaton.

He is survived by his sons, Ricky Wilkins of Tunnel Hill, GA, Rodney Wilkins, Kenneth Townsend of Dalton, GA; brother and sisters-in-law, Buster and Ruth Wilkins, Beatrice Wilkins Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Brittany Wilkins, Chris Wilkins, Monica Townsend Rood, Kenneth Townsend Jr.; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Wilburn Monroe Wilkins will be held Saturday November 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Interment will follow in the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Bobby Wilkins, Joe Wilkins, Wallace Wilkins, Seth Jackson, Gerald Wilkins and Jon Nebriaga serving as pallbearers.
