Mr. Wilburn Cecil Southern age 78 of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Friday, July 18, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 17, 1946 in Cartersville, Georgia, a son of the late Waldo Cecil Southern and Annie Laura Slaton. He was also preceded in death by his sister Angelia Joyce Jackson.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Matthew Sean and Athena Southern of Chatsworth, GA; daughters, Martha Ellen Williams of Cleveland, TN, Billie Southern of Jasper, GA; brother, Jamie Slaton of Dalton, GA; six grandchildren including special granddaughter Alyssa (Austin) Day of the residence who he called his "Tootsie Wootsie"; other extended family.

At his request he will be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
