Mr. Wayne Brackett, age 77 of Resaca, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, April 17, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Wayne was born June 27, 1938 in Chatsworth, GA, a son of the late James and Cora Belle Adams Brackett. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Jean Green Brackett, son, Randall Mark Brackett, sister, Annie Sutter, brother, James Egbert Brackett. Wayne loved to hunt, work in the yard and spend time in the outdoors. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his children, Glenn Brackett of Sand Rock, AL, Michael and Lucy Brackett of Ranger, GA, Patrick and Angie Brackett of Dalton, GA, Kelly and Teresa Brackett of Resaca, GA; Pam and Michael Woodall of Resaca, GA, Mary and Glenn Presley of Resaca, GA; sisters, Dolores Leffew of Rockwood, TN, Carmen Brackett of Dalton, GA; seventeen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Wayne Brackett will be held Wednesday April 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Mike King officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
