Ms. Wanda Sue Brindle Perkins, 77

Rocky Face, Georgia • September 12, 1948 – September 23, 2025

Wanda grew up in a very large family and learned early to stand up for herself. Little in stature, she was ten feet tall when defending her siblings and family. She spoke her mind—always without malice and with love. She cherished her family dearly, especially her grandchildren, and she will be deeply missed.

Ms. Wanda Sue Perkins, age 77, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. Wanda was born September 12, 1948, in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late Carl "Buck" and Helen Ruth Williams Brindle. She was also preceded in death by her son, Mark Dwayne Morrow; her sister, Patricia Patterson; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby Brindle, Ronnie and Vicky Brindle, Billy and Mary Brindle and Becky Brindle; and brother-in-law, Sam Culver.

Wanda worked many years at NPC South in the sample department. She was a member of City View Church of God.

She is lovingly survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Gerald Foster, Donna and Michael Maggette; grandchildren, Tanessa and Jason Pigg, Christopher Eugene and Selena Putnam, Brooke and Wayne Bell, Clinton Dwayne and Bree Putnam, Zachary Foster and Justin Russell, and Lindsey Foster; sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie Culver, Wynette and Gary Fuquea, Janice and Dwight McElrath, and Harvey Patterson; brother, Wayne Brindle; sister-in-law, Brenda Brindle; fifteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her precious Old English bulldog, Simon.

Services to celebrate Wanda's life will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Nathan Case officiating. She will be laid to rest with her son at West Hill Cemetery with Michael Maggette, Gary Fuquea, Justin Russell, Tyler McElrath, Blake McElrath, and Cody White are honored to serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday until the service hour.
