Ms. Wanda Manis Sizemore , age 81, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday evening, February 12, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Wanda was born April 18, 1941, on Prater's Mill Road, in Cohutta, Georgia, a daughter of the late George Washington and Bernice Irene Manis.  She was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Lloyd Stinson and brothers, Hugh D. Manis, and Forrest Manis.

Wanda was a 1958 graduate of North Whitfield High and received her R.N. degree from Baroness Erlanger School of Nursing in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Wanda devoted her life to helping others. She was a member of Life Gate Church for over thirty years. Wanda was precious, loving, strong and sometimes a little ornery.

Wanda is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Tina and Darryl Clem of Dalton, GA, and Teresa and Steve Barber of Ringgold, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Nancy Manis of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Amy and Jeff Schermerhorn, and Stephanie Barber; great-grandchildren, Isaac Borin, Andrew Borin, Sierra Shelby, Landon Barber, and Ella Ray; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her caregiver, Tracy Reed, and Amedisys Hospice Care.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Wanda Sizemore will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Jamie Harper and Reverend Jimmy Harper officiating. She will be laid to rest at United Memorial Gardens with Chris Manis, Jeff Schermerhorn, Landon Barber, Isaac Borin, Andrew Borin, and Keith Gibson honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 11:00 a.m. Thursday until the service hour.
