Ms. Wanda Gail Goforth, age 46, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday, October 9, 2014 at the local hospital. Wanda was born November 23, 1967. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harlen and Essie Lou Welch and Fred and Julia Manis.

She is survived by her son, Camron LaRue; her parents, Ruby Janelle and Robert Burnette and Charles "Billy" and Attica Goforth; sisters, Linda Bradford all of Dalton, GA, Juanita Goforth of Nashville, TN; nieces, Heather Powell, Cheyenne Bradford; nephews, David Goforth, Anthony Bradford; other nieces and nephews; special friend, Sissy; several step-brothers and step-sisters.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Wanda Gail Goforth will be held Monday, October 13, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Mark Bowen officiating. She will be laid to rest at Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Ryan Welch, Michael Manis, Anthony Bradford, Robert Goforth, Zach Goforth and David Goforth serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the family for funeral expenses.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 1:00 p.m. Monday until the service hour.
