Ms. Wanda Faye Farner, 75, of Shannon, Georgia, and formerly of Dalton, departed this life early Saturday morning, November 18, 2017 at Chulio Hills Health and Rehabilitation in Rome, Georiga.

Ms. Farner was born in Cleveland, Tennessee on July 31, 1942, a daughter of the late Thomas Clyde Brackett and Bessie Estell Richards. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her brothers, J.D. Brackett, Floyd Brackett, John Brackett, and Richard Brackett; sisters, Christine Helton, Shirley Brackett, and Ida Mae Brackett.

She was previously employed by Shaw Industries in the sample department at Plant 52.

She is survived by her loving daughters and sons-in-law, Khrist and Michael Nelson of Shannon, Georgia, Pam and Todd Fain of Resaca, Georgia; brothers, Kenneth Brackett of Dalton, Georgia, and Donald Brackett of Ball Ground, Georiga; grandchildren, Brayleigh Nelson, Felicia Stone and her husband Ethan, Brandon Nelson, Aaron Nelson, Colton and his wife Farrah Walston and Cody and his wife Frankie Walston; great-grandchildren, Haven Brock, Cole Stone, River Stone, Easton Nelson, C.J. Walston, and Kamryn Walston; also many other loving family and friends.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Wanda Faye Farner will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. from the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Tony Robertson officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Colonial Hills Memorial Park with Cody Walston, Colton Walston, Larry Nale, and Treston Nale honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the Ponders Melrose Chapel on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
