Mrs. Wanda Carzell Dyer, age 78, of Ranger, GA, departed this world and entered the gates of Heaven on September 18, 2017. Wanda was born December 14, 1938, in McMinn County, TN,the daughter of the late Alvie H. Harris and Myrtle B. Graves Harris. Wanda was preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Thomas Richard Dyer; daughter, Linda Petty; daughter-in-law, Dolly Dyer; granddaughter, Melissa Dyer; brothers, Charles Harris, Clifford Harris, Jimmy Harris, Edward Harris; sister, Brenda Ross; brother-in-law, Johnny Goble and Hal Winkler.

Wanda was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Her loving spirit was shown by the openness of her heart and home to those whom she did and did not know. Wanda's unshaken faith and unconditional love was beyond comparison. Her positive impacts cannot possibly be counted; for she was able to spread so much love in one lifetime. It is true to say that our loss is Heaven's gain.

Mrs. Wanda Carzell Dyer is survived by her children, Walter "Tommy" Dyer of Ranger, GA, Floyd Dyer of Ranger, GA, daughters, Tammy Dyer of Sonoraville, GA, Elizabeth and James Hayes of Ranger, Sandra Hayes of MurrayCounty, Roy Hayes of Ranger, GA; brothers, Don and Debra Harris of Rome, GA, Randall and Jane Harris of Murray County, Lloyd and Debra Harris also of Murray County; sisters Edna Goble of Hinton, GA, Wilma and Joe Southerland of Talking Rock, GA, Iva Jean Winkler of Calhoun, GA, Janice and Pete Shoemaker of Calhoun, GA, Carolyn and Travis Worley of Calhoun, GA, Lois and Luther Phillips of Ranger, GA, 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces & nephews, cousins, and friends.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Wanda Carzell Dyer will be held, Thursday September 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Reverend Donald Lee and Pastor Keith Reed officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Fidele Cemetery with Timothy Dyer, Brandon Dyer, Taylor Kephart, Jimmy Harris, Anthony Manis and Adam Manis, serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Wednesday September 27, 2017 from Ponders Calhoun Chapel 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
