Mrs. Wanda Gay Cole, age 49, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life on Wednesday December 3, 2014 at Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga, surrounded by her loving family. Wanda was born August 20, 1965 in Washington DC. She was preceded in death by her father Herbert Cole, mother Jeanettia Cross, stepfather Frank Cross, sister Gladys Scott, granddaughter Megan Gunter.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Carl Wilson and Daniella Wheeler-Wilson of Flintstone, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lynn and Cecil White of Trenton, GA, Tina and Bobby Shoemaker of Chatsworth, GA, Kathy and Chad Knight, Angie Cole of south Carolina, Frankie Cross of Rocky Face, GA, Lisa Cross of Dalton, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Stacy Cole of Rocky Face, GA; companion, Garman "Pooch" Harrison of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Josh Gunter, Sophia Wilson; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Wanda Gay Cole will be held Friday, December 5, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Brian Asherbranner officiating. She will be laid to rest at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Friday. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to help with expenses.
