Mrs. Wanda "Pat" Chance, age 76, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday afternoon, September 15, 2015 in Chattanooga, TN. Pat was born July 31, 1939 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Jim Franklin and Lillie Mae Coker Lewallen. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tabatha Lee Ann Chance, brother, Ernest and Juanita Lewallen, sister and brother-in-law, Louis and R.P. Lewis.
She is survived by her husband of fifty five years, Hubert Lee Chance of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, June and Michael Dean of Dalton, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Clayton Timms of Resaca, GA; grandchildren, Joshua Michael Dean and Vanessa Mendez, Jason Smith, Rebekah and Nate Conner, Clifford Smith; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Raymon and Melba Chance, Rayson Chance, Odean Chance, David and Snookie Chance, Frances and Bradley Mathis, Linda and Lloyd Thomason, Marlene and Jeff Jones, Darlene and David Lucus, numerous nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Wanda Pat Chance will be held Thursday September 17, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. from the Welcome Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Travis Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the West Hill Cemetery, with the Easter Star Chapter #65 performing graveside rites. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.
