Mr. Walter "Lee" Fox Jr., age 69, of Ringgold, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the Parkridge Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Lee was born January 31, 1944 in Rome, Georgia, a son of the late Walter Lee Fox Sr. and Marie Staggs Thacker. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Marshal and Harry Fox, sister, Clara Mathis. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 112.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Bertha Anne Moore Fox of Ringgold, GA; son and his fianc, George Wheat Jr. and Maranda Wilkey of Dalton, GA; sister, Joyce Treglawn of Silver Creek, GA; grandchildren, Kadie Wheat and Lexiee Frazier.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Walter "Lee" Fox Jr. will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Stacy Hensley officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday.
