Mr. Walter Henry "W.H." Wright, age 76, of Ranger, GA, departed this life, February 23, 2016, at Gordon Hospital following an extended illness and went home to be with Jesus. W.H. was born, July 14, 1939, in Blairsville, GA, the son of Kenneth and Pearl Shields Wright. He was also preceded in death by his son, Rodney Hoke Wright, daughter, Terri Sue Jenkins; brothers, Robert Wright and Eugene Wright; sister, Maxine Wright. W.H. was a proud veteran of the United States Army and an owner- operator of his very own semi-truck. W.H. attended East Calhoun Church and Fairview Church of God. He loved The Lord, his wife, family and friends very much.

Mr. Walter Henry "W.H." Wright is survived by his wife, Sue Reece Wright, son, Nick and Julie Jenkins of Dallas, GA; daughters, Tabbie Arnold of Richmond, MO and Crystal and Ron Avery of Ranger, GA; brother, Mark and Jane Wright of Blairsville, GA. W.H. is also survived by his 9 loving grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and host of extended family, church family and friends.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Walter Henry "W.H." Wright will be held, Thursday, February 25, 2016, from the chapel of East Calhoun Church, 401 Peters St. Calhoun, GA. at 1:00 p.m. with Bishop Keith Reed, Rev. Terry Jones and Rev. Bill Honaker. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, with Keith Hamby, Brad Hamby, Christopher Hughes, Scott McClure, Stephen Reece and Paxton Hamby serving as pallbearers and Darrill Everett, Glenn Westbrook, Stevie Arnold, Ryan Jenkins, Chris Jenkins, Frank Mayer, Larry Mulkey, Larrie Freeze, Jerry Coe and Gene Flynn will be serving as honorary pallbearers. Graveside service will be conducted by Blake Hamby and Landon Hamby. Military graveside rites will be handled by American Legion Post 112.

The family will receive friends, Wednesday, February 24, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.at the Fairmount Chapel Ponders Funeral Home and Thursday, February 24, 2016, at East Calhoun Church from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour.

The Wright Family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Kulkarni, the staff of the Gordon Hospital PCU unit and the Respiratory Therapists Adam and Heather for the wonderful care they extended to W.H. during the last few months. They truly showed the love of Christ to our family during a difficult time. Also, an extra special thank you to Luke Morgan for all of your support to our family.
