Mrs. Mary Vivian Grant, age 88, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Easter Sunday morning, April 5, 2026, at Regency Park, with her family at her side.

Vivian was born October 30, 1937, in Calhoun, Georgia, a daughter of the late Samuel David and Annie Belle Clark Pelfrey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Edward Grant, and her brother, Billy Pelfrey and her niece, Kim Pelfrey Caylor, and an infant sister, Patricia Pelfrey.

Vivian was a 1958, graduate of Valley Point High School, and was a sixty plus year member of Center Point Baptist Church. She most recently worked at Bealls department store where she enjoyed meeting many friends.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Lisa Grant of Dalton, GA; grandsons and spouses, Bradley and Abbey Grant of Dalton, GA, Mason and Lily Grant of Tifton, GA; great granddaughters, twins, Dallas Kate and Dillon Rose Grant; sister-in-law, Claire Pelfrey; niece, Dana Willman both of Dalton, GA.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Vivian Grant will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Brandon Crews and her grandson, Bradley Grant officiating. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery with Kameron Ridley, Tyler Watson, Easton Ridley, David Green, Bradley Grant and Mason Grant honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 12:00 p.m. noon Tuesday, until the service hour.

Arrangements are entrusted to Ponders Melrose Chapel, Dalton, Georgia.
