Mrs. Virginia Rovene McGatha age 79 of Chatsworth, GA, departed the life Sunday August 4, 2019 at the Wood Dale Health Care. She was born June 7, 1940 in Cedar Bluff, Alabama a daughter of the late William Edward Brewster and Katherine Weaver Smith. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Donnie Brewster, sister, Annabelle Brewster, son-in-law, Allan Watkins, sisters-in-law, Gail McGatha, Kay McGatha. Mrs. McGatha loved roses and to crochet. She loved everyone and her family who will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her husband, Troy McGatha; daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Ronnie Blevins of Chatsworth, GA, Vickey and Tom Smith of Dalton, GA, Regina and Scott Cunningham of Resaca, GA, Kathy and Randy Croy, Pam and Bobby Ridley of Dalton, GA, Michelle Watkins of Chatsworth, GA; brothers, Bill Brewster of Rocky Face, GA, Barry Brewster of Texas, Bobby Brewster of Dalton, GA; sisters, Betty Ann Joffee of Maryland, Susan Brewster of Texas; sisters-in-law, Janice, Patsy, Peggy and  Doris; eleven grandchildren, Chad McGatha, Jay Blevins, Thomas Smith, Angela Muse, Troy Wood, William Wood, Shannon Rosser, Nancy Ridley, Jerome Ridley, Rachelle Brafford, Tiffani Stanley, Andy Smith; several great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Virginia Rovene McGatha will be held   Friday August 9, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Darren Locke oficiating. Interment will follow in the United Memorial Gardens with Chad McGatha, Ticen Croy, Thomas Smith, Jay Blevins, William Wood and Treston Stanley serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
