Mrs. Virginia Louise Goodson, age 72, of Dalton, GA, departed this life, Saturday September 18, 2021 at the local hospital. She was born October 22, 1948 in Catoosa County, GA a daughter of the late Robert Sherman and Delia Mae Vest Weaver. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willard Hilly Goodson, brothers, Robert Weaver, William Weaver, sisters, Lillie Sizemore, Bessie Sizemore, Margaret Weaver.

She is survived by her daughters, Linda Cline, Robin Center, Mary Center of Dalton, GA; brother, George Weaver of Ringgold, GA; sister, Mildred Farrell of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren, Laura Brown, Michael Turner, Elizabeth Cline, Hallie Cline, Kerri Tomlin, Trey Hixon; great grandchildren, Mason, Wesley, Tucker, Wolfgang, Dixie, Levi; nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Virginia Louise Goodson will be held Friday September 24, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Tom Mosley officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Methodist Church Cemetery in Walker County with Garrett Bivens, Franky Ward, Michael Tippins, Trey Hixon, Chris Burns and Nick Burns serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
