Mr. Victor Roberto Sanchez-Santos, an incredible light, age 60, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life peacefully Sunday evening, October 11, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with stage IV bladder cancer. Victor was born April 12, 1960 in Nuevo San Carlos, Retalhuleu, Guatemala, to the son of the late Gabriel Romulo Sanchez and Juana Francisca Santos.

Victor was a loving, selfless, and very hardworking father. He had the ability to make everyone smile and see the good in others. He always had a bright and energetic personality along with a dashing smile that would light up a room. His favorite hobbies included cooking, gardening, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Victor is survived by his wife, Lucila Mendez Perez, daughters, Jackelin Pamela Sanchez-Mendez of Calhoun, Ga, Ariela Eli Sanchez of Guatemala,  Ivonne Sanchez of Guatemala, Miriam Marroquin of Calhoun, GA, Brenda Marroquin of Calhoun, GA, Julia Marisela Marroquin of Calhoun, GA, son,  Erick Marroquin of Calhoun, GA; 13 grandchildren and numerous others.

Service to celebrate the life of Victor Roberto Sanchez-Santos will be held, Sunday October 18, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. from Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Rev. Jorge Perez officiating. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery with Erick Marroquin, Jose Gonzales, Juan Gonzales, Jorge Rodrigues, Irene Reyes, Julio de Leon, Daniel Vines serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends for visitation, Friday, October 16, 2020 and Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
