Mr. Vernon Eugene "Vern" Taylor, age 67, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday afternoon, July 29, 2023 at the local hospital.

Vern was born October 27, 1955, in Los Angles, California, a son of the late Vernon Williams and Rose Marion Taylor.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ronnie Susan Taylor, in 2018, and a brother, Harold Eugene Matson, who was killed in action in Vietnam, on August 25, 1966, Bong Tang, South Vietnam.

He graduated high school in 1974 in Los Angles, California.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was retired from Mangat Group Transportation, in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended Fellowship Bible Church.

He is survived by his children, Josh and Stephanie Moyer, Daniel Taylor, Chris and Faith Frost, and Christina Marie Taylor; grandchildren, Joshua Moyer, Dominic Taylor and Conner Moyer; brothers, Albert Taylor and Allen Taylor; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services to celebrate the life of Mr. Vernon Eugene "Vern" Taylor will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Fellowship Bible Church with Reverend Tim Chaney officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
