Mr. Vernon Lee Smith Jr., age 60, of Calhoun, GA, departed this life, Friday, June 10, 2016 at Gordon Hospital. Vernon was born June 3, 1956 in Whitesburg, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Lee Smith Sr. and his sister Martha Ella Morrow

He is survived by his loving wife of nineteen years, Susan Smith of the residence; daughter, Madison Smith of Calhoun, GA; son, Vernon Lee Smith III of Frankfort, KY; mother, Ella Mae Campbell Smith of Colorado; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Barb Smith of Lorain, OH; Wanda Epifano of Colorado, Marie Brown of Frankford, KY; grandchildren Makenna Smith and Cassidy Smith

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Vernon Lee Smith Jr. will be held, Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., from Ponders Calhoun Chapel with the Reverend Scott Parrish officiating. The family will receive friends, Tuesday June 14, 2016 at Ponders Calhoun Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
