Mrs. Vernia Juanita Queen, age 77 of Fairmount, GA, departed this life Wednesday April 8, 2015 at the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. Juanita was born December 26, 1937 in Ellijay, Georgia, a daughter of the late Harlan and Ethel Rogers Bramlett. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lesia Hightower, brothers, Donnie Bramlett, James Bramlett, Clarence Rogers, sisters, Susie Fields, Gladys Grant, great grandchild, Lexi Neal.
She is survived by her husband of twenty four years, Lonnie Queen of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Jane Hightower of Jasper, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Donald Long of Sonoraville, GA; step daughter, Amanda White of Vonore, TN; special sister-in-law, Sally Bramlett of Chatsworth, GA; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of friends.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Vernia Juanita Queen will be held Friday April 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Fairmount Chapel with Reverend Roger Elliott officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnson Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday and after 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
