Mrs. Venita Stephens age 49, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday, May 24, 2013, in Summerville, Georgia, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Venita was born on August 1, 1963 in Ellijay, GA. She was preceded in death by her father, Jess Painter, biological mother, JoAnn Daves, brother, Wayne Painter.

She is survived by her husband, Greg Stephens; daughters and sons-in-law, Brandy and Stacey Wilbanks, Brea McCurdy and Donald Perry of Dalton, GA, Bridgett McCurdy and Kris Roberts of Calhoun, GA; mother, Dorothy "Dot" Painter of Dalton, GA, biological father, Jim Daves of Ellijay, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Linda Painter of Ellijay, GA, George and Kimbali Daves of McDonald, TN, Jimmy and Irene Daves of Holly, MI; brother-in-law George Stephens of Dalton, GA, nephew, Justin Stephens of TN; grandchildren, Alex McAtee, Caleb McAtee, Kierstyn Holland, Trevor Perry, Seth Perry, Cierra Webb, Tyler Webb, Taylor Webb, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Venita Stephens will be held Monday May 27, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Bart Ponders officiating.

The Family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M until 9:00 P.M. Sunday May 26, 2013 at Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home.
