Tyler Jacob Zilbert, age 24, of the Dawnville community in Whitfield County, Georgia, flew home to be with Jesus, July 4, 2014 in Murray County, Georgia, as the result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Tyler was born in Dalton, Georgia. Tyler attended Southeast High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was employed at IVC. Tyler was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, camping, building bon fires and spending time with his friends and family. Loved all kinds of music and playing the guitar. He was a good son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to everyone.
He was met in eternity by his grandfathers, Wayne Zilbert and Jimmy Dan Griffin.
He will be remembered by his family, parents, Mike and Paulette Zilbert; grandmothers, Sue Griffin and Opal Zilbert; brothers and sisters-in-law, Landon and Stephanie Zilbert, Caleb and Melinda Zilbert, Chris Zilbert; nieces and nephews, Jeslyn Zilbert, Michael Zilbert and Paisley Zilbert; uncles and aunts, Mitzi and Ricky Hughes, Mona Ridley, Dillon and Christy Griffin, Ricky Griffin, Danny Griffin, Gay Zilbert-Day and Patricia Newman; cousins, Michael and Karen Smith, Autumn Ridley, Brian Griffin, Brittany Griffin, Karla Newman, Tracy Jackson, Deanna Kessler and Leslie Eakin; many friends.
Services to celebrate the life of Tyler Jacob Zilbert will be held Thursday morning, July 10, 2014 at 11:00 O'clock a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 o'clock p.m. until 9:00 o'clock p.m. Wednesday and after 10:00 o'clock a.m. Thursday morning until the service hour. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas, 66675.
