Mr. Troy Lamar Jones, age 62, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday, August 30, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 4, 1962 in Ellijay, Georgia a son of the late Johnny Edgar and Barbara Helen Jones. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny Jones, Joseph Edgar Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Jones of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Hannah Jones of Dalton, GA, Venessa and Chris Manis of Chatsworth, GA, Scarlett and Johnny Weeks of Resaca, GA, Pam and William O'Neal of Dalton, GA, Teresa and Juan Sanchez of Cohutta, GA, Tatiana Angeles of Dalton, GA; son and daughter-in-law, David and Courtney Conner of Tunnel Hill, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Kelli Jones of Dalton, GA; sister-in-law, Joyce Jones of Dalton, GA; fifteen grandchildren, niece and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Troy Lamar Jones will be held Wednesday September 4, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Dawnville Community Church Cemetery with Juan Sanchez, Noah Walden, Terry Mills, Lee Tobler, Billy Rittenhouse, Glen Grimsley and Alan Pinson serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
