Mr. Tommy Allen Reed., age 44 of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday morning, April 12, 2016 at Murray Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 30, 1971 in Dalton Georgia, a son to the late Nealy and Martha McTaggart Reed.

He is survived by his wife Tonya Reed, sons; Braydin and Randell Reed, daughters; Nakia and Chanavi Reed and God-children; Nicole and Chris Taylor, Zach and Haley Newman. He is also survived by a brother and sister in law; Bobby and Nicole Reed of Tunnel Hill, GA, God-granddaughters; Jakayla Taylor and Aubree Newman. Grandfather; Cecil Jones, great grandfather; Jack Sizemore, Fathers and mothers in laws; Paula and Timmy Mooney and Leon and Tammy Weeks, father-in-law, Jerry Gilbert, sisters in law; LaTasha Gilbert and Tamara Weeks, Brothers in law; Tommy and Justin Weeks, brother and sister in law Cecil (Bubba) and Amber Gilbert, niece; Aubrey Howard, nephews; Kayden Howard, Carter Reed, Simon Gilbert, several other nieces and nephews, Aunts and uncles; Carolyn and Jamie Farner, Pam Layman and Marshall Haynes. Special friends; Stacey Hill, Betty Newman and B.J. Painter.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Tommy Reed will be held Saturday April 16, 2016 at 12:00 PM at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Bowen officiating. He will be laid to rest at the New Hope Cemetery in Varnell, GA. Friends and family will serve as Pall Bearers. The family will receive friends and family on Friday evening from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
