Mr. Tommy Lynn Posey, age 53 of Resaca, GA, departed this life Tuesday August 31, 2021 at the local hospital. He was born June 13, 1968 in Chattanooga, TN. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Eugene Posey, mother, Dorothy Sledge Posey, stepfather, Allen Lumpkin, niece Amanda Posey.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Angie Cochran Posey of the residence; sons and daughter-in-law, Chase and Stephanie Stancill of Dalton, GA, Drake Stancill of Resaca, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Clint and Lisa Posey of Resaca, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Missy and Travor Chadwick of Cleveland, TN, Jennifer Posey of Ocoee, TN, Coya and James Gallman of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Leanna, Whitley, and Axel Stancill; several step brothers, step sisters, nieces and nephews.

Service for Mr. Posey will be held Sunday September 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Scott Parrish officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. Interment will follow in the United Memorial Gardens with Alex Dagnan, Cody Walston, Jeff Nelson, Brandon Posey, Sean Henery, Michael Parsons, Mikey Parsons, and William Parsons serving as pallbearers.
