Mr. Tommy Eugene Jones, age 77, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life on Sunday evening, June 14, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on May 9, 1949, in Dalton, Georgia, Tommy was the son of the late Henry and Irene Silver Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Jones; sisters, Virginia Curtis, Louis Sane, Marcel Teasley and sister in law Mary Center.

Tommy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Following his retirement, he enjoyed spending time camping, hunting, and fishing. He had a special passion for gardening and mowing, taking great pride in caring for his home and land. More than anything, Tommy treasured the time he spent with his family and friends. He especially loved being with his grandchildren, sharing with them the knowledge and skills he had gained through a lifetime of hunting, fishing, and farming. His wisdom, stories, and gentle guidance will be remembered and cherished for generations.

He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of more than 58 years, Jeanette Elaine Jones of the residence; sons, Jeffery (Sandy) Jones and Keith Jones, both of Chatsworth, Georgia; brother, Junior Jones of Chatsworth, Georgia; sister, Betty Bishop of Chatsworth, Georgia; grandchildren, Hannah (Jantzen) of Crandall, Georgia, Kaitlyn (Brandon) Janow of Dalton, Georgia, Harmony (Jordan) Ray and T.J. (Amberly) Jones, both of Chatsworth, Georgia; great-grandchildren, Luke Janow and Jake Ray; and a future great-grandson, Rhett Janow Brother in laws and sister in laws, Nathan  Center, Dana Center and Rebecca Owenby. He is also survived by special nieces and nephews, Chris (Shannon) Stanley Shawna Miller, Brittany (Keith) Shelton extended family members, special friend Jimmy Miller and pastor and friend James Busie.

Tommy will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love of the outdoors, and the unwavering devotion he showed to those he loved. His legacy lives on through his family and the many lives he touched throughout his years.

The family will forever cherish the memories they shared and find comfort in knowing that Tommy's love, values, and teachings will continue to guide them in the years ahead.

As for Tommy’s wishes, he will be cremated with a private memorial service held at a later date.
