Mrs. Tina Diane Morris, age 57, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, April 5, 2026, at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Tina was born in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late Sonny Edward Jones, Sr., Sharon Elaine Kennett Dyer, and stepfather Fred Dyer. She was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Fred Dagnan; her brothers, Tracy Jones and Eddie Jones; and endured the heartbreaking loss of her sister and brother-in-law, whose children she lovingly helped care for as her own.
Tina faced a lifetime of health challenges, having been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 16, and later becoming a double amputee. Despite the many trials she endured, she never complained. Instead, she remained steadfast in her faith, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her life was not easy, but she carried herself with quiet strength, grace, and an unwavering love for her family.
A true homebody, Tina found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially watching Hallmark movies. She worked for many years at Subway in Ringgold, Georgia, where she was known for her kindness and warm spirit. Above all, she loved her family dearly and will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
She is survived by her loving husband, Scotty D. Morris of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Jerry McCormick; son, Keith Teasley; grandchildren, Kasen Teasley and Lakelynn Teasley, all of Dalton, Georgia; sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Ronald Guffey of Rocky Face, Georgia; step-son, Zach Morris of Cohutta, Georgia; step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Rebecca and Michael Murphree of Dalton, Georgia; two special nieces she held close to her heart, Tabitha Dagnan and Haley Dagnan; along with several other nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Tina Diane Morris will be held Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Ronald Guffey officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her sister at Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, with her nephews honored to serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the service hour.
