Mr. Timothy Lee Hayes, age 56, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Gordon Hospital. He was born April 2, 1961 in Dalton, GA, a son of the late Steed and Mary Ann Holloway Hayes. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Katelyn Ann Hayes, nephew, Kevin Hayes, mother-in-law, JoAnn Thomas. He graduated from Southeast High School. He retired from Shaw Plant 4 after 35 years. He was a Lieutenant with the Whitfield County Fire Department for 16 years at Station 5 and 6.

He is survived by his wife, Melinda Hayes of Calhoun, GA: sons, Thomas Hayes, Jason Azbill; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rodney and Misty Hayes of Athens, TN, Eric and Jennifer Hayes of Dalton, GA; uncles and aunts, Doug Holloway and Tracie Mantooth of South Carolina, Linda and Tommy Rector of Dalton, GA, Bobby and Shirley Hayes, Betty and DL Flood of Dalton, GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Melissa and Dave Stillwagon of Powder Springs, GA; nephews and niece, Adam Stillwagon, Jace Spicer, Macy Spicer, special pet Tucker.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Timothy Lee Hayes will be held Wednesday March 21, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Bruce Ellis officiating. He will be laid to rest at the West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
