Mr. Timothy Ray "Mader" Foster , age 60, of Fairmount, Georgia departed this life Saturday, January 28, 2023 at AdventHealth Gordon Hospital in Calhoun, Georgia.

Tim was born March 21, 1962 in Fairmount, GA, a son of the late Garland and Mary Lee Findley Foster.  He was also preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Lindsey Brooke Foster, who died May 6, 2017 and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Marnell Buttrum, an infant brother David Foster.

He was a 1980 graduate of Fairmount High School where he excelled in baseball and basketball. Before his health decline, Tim loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle on beautiful and warm days. Tim was employed by All Electric in Fairmount for the past several years. Tim was a member of Ryo Baptist Church.

He is survived by the love of his life and wife, Vickey Lynne Buttrum Foster to whom he was married to for 36 years; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Monica Foster of Houston, TX; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Teresa and Nelson Eberly of Rydal, GA, Rita and Matt Lacey of Fairmount, GA, Ray and Kim Buttrum of Chatsworth, GA;  nephews,  Ches Foster and fiancé Natalie,  Joe Eberly, Jake Eberly, Jeff Davis; nieces, Clara Foster, Emily Lacey, Carle Buttrum, Tiffany Davis and special niece Gracie Charles; several other relatives also survive.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Timothy Ray "Mader" Foster will be held Friday February 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fairmount First Baptist Church with Reverend Mark Owens and Reverend Michael Yancey officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday February 2, 2023 at the Fairmount First Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest with his daughter at Johnson Cemetery in Fairmount with David Hensley, Terry Woods, Greg Evans, Matt Lacey, Nelson Eberly and Ray Buttrum serving as pallbearers. Mylon Holbert, Clinton Childers, David Boots and Robert Taylor will serve as honorary pallbearers. Tim will lie in state at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Friday.
