Timmy Austin "Tim" Johnson, age 69, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, December 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home.

Born on June 11, 1955, in Enterprise, Alabama, Tim was the cherished son of the late Walter Austin and Betty Virginia Beavers Johnson. His early years reflected his family's military roots, as his father was stationed at Fort Rucker.

A 1973 graduate of Dalton High School, Tim pursued further education and earned his Associate's Degree from Dalton State College. He built a long and successful career as Production Manager at Dorsett Industries, from which he retired after years of dedication and leadership.

Tim will be remembered as a loving, caring man with a generous heart who was always willing to lend a hand to family and friends. His family was the center of his world, and he found immense joy in the time spent with them.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Terry Lee Johnson and Jimmy Odell Johnson; nephew, Jeremy Cantrell; and grandparents, Alfred D. Beavers, C. Odell Duckett Beavers Crumbley, Oscar L. Johnson, and Emily Lee Richards Johnson.

Tim leaves behind his devoted wife, Kathy Gaddis Johnson, with whom he recently celebrated 25 years of marriage on December 15, 2024. His legacy lives on through his sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Kelly Johnson of Acworth, GA, Wesley and Katresha Johnson of Dalton, GA, Patrick Arthur of Wisconsin, and Jonathan Arthur of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Jacob and Rianna Arthur, Hunter Johnson, Dash Johnson, and Kason, Brayden, and Kyptin Fowler; and great-grandchildren, Malikai and Tobin Arthur.

He is also survived by his sister, Joyce J. Cantrell of Chatsworth, GA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Shelia Gaddis of Cumming, GA, and Connie and Kevin Doran of Dalton, GA; his beloved aunt, Stella Jones of Chatsworth, GA; uncle, Thomas Crumbley of Dalton, GA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him deeply.

Services to honor and celebrate Tim's life will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Danny Cochran and Reverend Charles Rogers officiating. He will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery, with Jacob Arthur, Hunter Johnson, Kason Fowler, Brayden Fowler, Kevin Doran, and Zachary Lance serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour.
