Mr. Tien Van Nguyen, age 69, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Sunday April 30, 2017 at the local hospital. Tien was born June 11, 1947 in Long An, Vietnam, a son of the late Tri Van Nguyen and Trieu Thi Le. He was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Tien was a poultry farmer and was the owner of Ranger Farm.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Dong Thi Pham of Dalton, GA; children, Thai Nguyen, Khanh Nguyen and his wife, Nguyet Dang, Michael Nguyen and his wife, Annabel Do-Nguyen, Linh Nguyen and her husband, My Huynh, Tuan Nguyen and his wife, Van Nguyen, Tu Nguyen, Khoi Nguyen and Ngan Nguyen; three brothers, three sisters, eleven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

A prayer service will be held on Sunday May 7, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Ponders Melrose Chapel. The family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home from 4:00pm to 7:00pm
