Mr. Thomas Lee Smith age, 68, of Dalton, Georgia expired, Friday, January 13, 2023, at the local hospital.  Lee was born October 14, 1954 in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Thomas Luther and Margaret Clay Wade Smith.

Lee was a graduate of Dalton High School and received his Associate's degree from Dalton State College. Lee worked over twenty-seven years at Lowe's where he made many friends. Lee would go the extra mile to help a customer. Lee never met a stranger and could carry on a conversation with anyone.

Lee is survived by his fiancée, Donna Delk of Tunnel Hill, GA; sister, Teresa Morgan, brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Anita Smith all of Chatsworth, GA; his dog, Sassy, his cats, Ms. Grey Cat, Harvey, Blackie and Stripe; aunt, Dianna Blackstone of Venus, TX; nieces and nephews, Stephanie and Michael Bennett, Shelly Dortch, Tyler Simpson, Jeremy and Kellie Morgan, and Andrew Morgan; The family would like to give a very special thank you to the ICU staff at Hamilton Medical Center.

Niche side services and inurnment to celebrate the life of Mr. Thomas Lee Smith will be held Friday, January 20, 2023, at 1 p.m., at the Resurrection Columbarium at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park and Mausoleum with Reverend Denny Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and after 11:00 a.m. Friday until the service hour.
