IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas Calvin
Langham
January 9, 1948 – July 22, 2025
Mr. Thomas Calvin "Tommy" Langham, age 77, of Chatsworth, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Tommy was born on January 9, 1948, in Dalton, Georgia, a son of the late Alfred Joe and Lois Lorene Talley Langham. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Kinser Langham; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wilburn Oran and Tezzie Kinser; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: James Mitchell Ellison, Waldo Kinser, Johnny Kinser, and Debbie Kinser.
A 1966 graduate of North Whitfield High School, Tommy worked for many years as a diesel mechanic at Ron Epps International, where he earned a reputation for his skill, reliability, and strong work ethic. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Tommy lived a simple, honest life—a man of quiet strength and endless generosity. He was the kind of neighbor who showed up without being asked, a friend who gave more than he had, often to his own detriment, and a father and grandfather who anchored his family with enduring love and steadfast support. Though humble, he possessed a kind of everyday wisdom and practical magic—never without the right wrench or tool in his "magic pocket," always willing to lend a hand. He could be a little ornery at times, but his charm and heart made him unforgettable to all who knew him.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Tracy Langham of North Richland Hills, TX, and Brett and Tonya Langham of Chatsworth, GA; sister, Peggy Ellison; brother and sister-in-law, Alfred Joe Jr. and Kathy Langham, all of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Luke Langham, Cole Langham, Kross Langham, and Finley Langham; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Jim Payne of Ooltewah, TN, Alan and Julie Kinser of Chatsworth, GA; and several nieces and nephews, including Jeremiah Kinser, Cassandra Kinser, and Jonathan Kinser.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Thomas Calvin "Tommy" Langham will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Ponders Melrose Chapel. He will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Kevin Langham, Brett Langham, Jeremiah Kinser, Kross Langham, Luke Langham, and Cole Langham.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday after 11:00 a.m. until the service hour.
