Thomas "Tommy" Lamar Dean age 59, of Dalton, GA departed this life Friday June 26, 2020 at the Pruitt Heath Care in Fort Oglethorpe.  Tommy was born on September 2, 1960 in Dalton, Georgia.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Rass Dean and Ruby Thomas Hayes.  In addition he was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Ann Dean.

He is survived by his sister, Judy Black; step-father, Jerry Lee Hayes, all of Dalton; niece and nephew, Jamie Shannon, Jason and Kimberly Black; great-nieces and great-nephews, Tyler and Logan Black, Mia and Ashton Black.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mr. Tommy Dean will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 3:00 PM from Dawnville Cemetery.  Reverend Mitchell McDougal will officiate.

The family will gather at Ponders Melrose Chapel at 2:00 PM and leave to go in procession to the cemetery at 2:40 PM.
